Of the four confirmed COVID-19 cases in Adams County, three of the cases were determined to be spread by community transmission.  Investigators were not able to determine the source of the exposure in these three instances.  As a result, the state has announced Directed Health Measures for Adams, Clay, Nuckolls, and Webster counties.  We are to continue to follow the expectations of social distancing (maintaining 6 feet of distance between individuals), as well as, limiting groups of people to ten or fewer.  Law enforcement now has the authority to arrest and/or fine those that are not complying.  For more information please contact South Heartland District Health Department.  Attached is the Directed Health Measure in its entirety.
