On Friday, October 29, 2021, at 4:00 p.m., Kenesaw Public Schools will host a meeting in the school library to discuss Special Education Services that Kenesaw Public Schools will offer to qualifying nonpublic and home school students. The purposes of this meeting will be to provide an opportunity for district parents, parents of home schooled children, and representatives of nonpublic schools to participate in the development of a plan for providing special education services to the children ages 0-21 with disabilities who attend nonpublic schools and home schools which are located within the Kenesaw Public Schools district for the 2021-2022 school year. Parents of a home schooled child or a child attending a nonpublic school who has been or may be identified with a disability and attends a nonpublic school within the boundaries of Kenesaw Public School, are urged to attend. Due to additional funding being provide by the Federal Government through ESSER (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) and ARP (American Rescue Plan) Act, public school districts are required to meet with resident nonpublic and home school constituents and parents regarding the best use of these funds for this population of students. If you have further questions pertaining to this meeting, please contact Rick Masters at 402-752-3215.
