The Junior Class welcomed Kevin Krull from Krull Agency to discuss Health Insurance in Ms. Molly Engelhardt’s Finance Class on Monday, January 13. Mr. Krull discussed the cost of insurance, the Affordable Care Act, copays, deductibles, co-insurance, and out of pocket expenses (OOP).  The students were amazed at how expensive healthcare costs can be. Madi Kennedy said, “I learned that if I got hurt or sick, and the doctors had to run many tests to figure out what was wrong, I do not have to pay for those tests if they came back unneeded or negative.” Jadyn Sharp said, “healthcare has many more aspects than you think.” It was a great learning experience for the class, they know how receiving health insurance from an employer is a great benefit.
